Kids Are Gone Fishin’ On June 1

Posted 5/25/2017

The Hesston Lions Club will offer a free fishing clinic for boys and girls ages 5-12 from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, at Lake Vista.

Fishers will meet at the Hesston Wellness Center parking lot about 10 minutes before heading to the lake.

Children will learn how to cast and get some fishing tips.  There is a limit of 30 children at the event. Youths must be accompanied by an adult or high school student to help with supervision.

Children are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen and fishing polls or cane polls. The Hesston Lions Club will have extra equipment and bait available.

Hesston Public Library also has a limited supply of rods and reels for rent.
